property in the lap of Mother Nature, situated next to an

IVI NIT Y The temple houses a beautiful life-size idol of Sri Hari. Sri refers to the feminine aspect of God and Hari, the masculine. Its specialty is that if you look upon it in devi-bhava, it feels as if it’s the idol of Goddess but if you see it in deva-bhava, it looks like Vishnu’s idol.

Other than empowering local women by operating free stitching centres where they are taught sewing and free healthcare to all the adjoining villages, the ashram also gives a monthly stipend to every girl child in the community. In addition, the ashram disburses nearly Rs. 75 lacs (US$100,000) annually in scholarships to deserving students throughout the state. 100% of the contributions go towards the respective causes with zero spending on management or Om Swami.

“While they say never say never, the truth is that I have absolutely no interest in having more than one ashram. I do not believe in building excessive infrastructure," he says. “I'm a monk, not a property developer. The subtle energy of dharma that courses through the resplendent Sri Hari in the ashram is more than enough to trigger lifelong transformation in any sincere seeker. It's perfect how it is."
